The apartments are spacious and modern, but what really made my living experience great was the leasing and management team here. They are by far the most helpful, nicest, and attentive team of any apartment I have lived in. And the concierge staff are all great too! Thank you for everything.

I have lived at Metro Lofts for about 5 years now and it has been such a wonderful, welcoming and supportive community. Living here has been one of the best things about being in Jacksonville. The leasing staff—Onilee and Brittanie—are always willing to listen to any issues that you have and be accommodating when necessary. I have especially appreciated their recent efforts to build more community here in the building—from Zumba classes twice a month to trivia/game night on the back patio. What makes Metro Lofts especially welcoming are the amazing concierge staff. Susanne is the heart and soul of the building and goes above and beyond to help and support the residents. She was my lifeline when I first moved here and didn’t know anyone or the area and she has been such a kind and warm person all the years I have known her and is like family to me. Metro Lofts wouldn’t be the same without her. Jason is also very kind, professional, and helpful. In the two years since he has worked here, he always looks out for the residents, and has demonstrated his commitment to the Metro Lofts community time and time again. He welcomes you with a friendly smile when you walk in or opens the door for you when you’re struggling with groceries, etc. It’s always nice chatting with him in the lobby and it has been great getting to know him these past two years. Bianca is also a kind and warm presence at the front desk, and always greets you with a friendly smile. Regardless of how her day may be going or what she may going through, she always radiates such a positive energy that lifts everyone’s spirits. In the 2+ years she has worked here, she has shown her hard work and dedication and is a blessing to us all. While Michael and Callie are newer members of the team, they are also helpful and friendly to the residents and approach their positions with professionalism. Shout out to Rick, Aaron, George, Jessica and other Metro Lofts employees as well for making this such a lovely apartment community!

Our family truly enjoyed our experience living at Metropolitan Lofts. From our first tour and meeting with Brittany and the concierge team until the day we left, we absolutely loved the team. Our apartment in nice. We had some unexpected mantanance issues but the management and maintenance team always worked towards a quick resolution. Overall, we were so grateful for our experience. Onliee and Brittany were always super helpful and kind. Rick and Jess were amazing and kept the building clean with a smile each day. Our toddler adored Rick and loved seeing him each morning cleaning with a huge smile. Suzanne was truly a blessing! She was always kind and professional and that translated to many of her staff. Suzanne, Bianca, Jason, Anna, and Roland were the absolute kindest people we encountered daily. They really made us feel at home.

I lived at Metro for four years, and overall loved my experience. I would move back today, if it were in the cards. There's lots I could write, but I'll try to keep it as condensed as possible. I lived in Metro before it sold to a corporate company, and the original owner was AMAZING. Lily(the previous owner) and Susanne(the current concierge manager) kept that ship clean, organized, and running SO smoothly. Of course there were others involved, but Lily and Susanne treated the building like their own baby, and were there to accommodate immediately if needed. After Lily sold the building and business, the quality of service immediately went down hill drastically. Susanne is certainly NOT to blame. With any corporations come restrictive rules and guidelines, that end up hurting the very ones they are serving. The quality of tenants went down and the staff was only allowed to do so much, which inevitably left a lower quality of living. That being said, it's still an amazing place to live, just expect things to move slowly if you have any problems. I could write a book about how AMAZING the staff is, to clarify.. the staff that was on board before the sale, and not the leasing staff. The maintenance, cleaning, and concierge staff are truly amazing people, in and out. I will call one specific employee out on how truly amazing they are, and that is Susanne. She truly made living at Metro a true joy. I count myself truly blessed to have been introduced to Susanne, and to call her my friend. She takes her job very seriously, and it shows. Metro would not be Metro without her. She is always willing to go above and beyond for you and your well being. She keeps the concierge desk running like a well oiled machine. During hurricanes, power outages, a pandemic, etc.. she is and was always just a call away to remedy the crisis. She expects her staff to share the same amount of respect for the tenants and their job, which truly shows with the attitudes and service that the concierge desk provides. Even after moving out of Metro, I still make it a point to stop by to say hey to Susanne.. She will leave that sort of impression on your life. The rent was very reasonable, the units are all beautiful, the location isn't great but gives you a sense or privacy with still be close to downtown, the amenities are outdated but sufficient and usually well kept. The professionalism shown by the leasing staff and mgmt is severely lacking, and is the only reason why my review isn't five stars. Again, overall I loved my four years and would absolutely move back!

Freshly moved in resident here. I waited a few months to leave a review. I just want to say from start to now the leasing office has been soooo accommodating & sweet. Painless move in and painless interactions. Overly appreciative of the experience. Brittanie & Onilee get a 10/10 from me and my grandma. (& granny is hard to please). The apartment itself is a 9/10 very beautiful layout. Very Quiet floor literally can’t hear anything. I do live on the side with U-Haul & some construction so I do hear stuff from time to time but it’s really not a distraction for me & they are usually gone by 5. I only took off the 1 point because my windows don’t open & I do love a fresh breeze. No pests , also no maintenance problems . I had a minor maintenance issue and it was fixed within 12 hours. Other than that it’s a beautiful apartment, beautiful layout with Great leasing office staff. The hallways are always very clean and smelling good. I wasn’t able to make it but they do have holiday parties at the lobby which was cool. Also a Very diverse environment with no discrimination. Oh & The overnight concierge staff member Dianca is very sweet as well! They do have 24 hr concierge so any package , guest , delivery is routed through them which makes the building very secure nobody gets up to your floor without notification or permission. OH AND THE PAINT JOB IN THE APARTMENT IS FLAWLESS! literally first thing I noticed

Just moved in to the place last week. Great leasing staff who made the entire process pain free. It is great to have a concierge there 24 hours a day. And also a night security guard here makes me feel safe to have me fiance and son here without me. BC I know they are never alone. We love the industrial architecture. The place is big and new feeling with nice people all around. We love it

It seems like yesterday I was having a conversation from Texas with Tara about leasing an apartment downtown. I was very skeptical because I like to physically view an apartment before I sign a lease. Tara painted such a vivid picture with her description that I felt comfortable enough to sign a 13 month lease. Fast forward a year and a half later I am still here, and under new management I decided to sign another 13 month lease. I will say I love the events that they are doing for the residents in times of covid, the food trucks are a great idea for residents and it is also supporting small local businesses. I love the security, garage parking and how you can only access your floor with the key fob. The outside patio is so nice on a cool, a neighbor and I almost fell asleep chatting on a cool summer's night. I am 4 minutes from my job and I love being in the center of everything. The staff is really great, maintenance is very friendly and the property manager is great. If you don't have enough storage, the loft are big and perfect for IKEA kallax storage shelves. I even bought a double roller rack for more hanging space that I put in the entry closet. There is so much more I could write, but if you are in the market for a new place, tell Iglesia Matthews sent you to get a tour, and you definitely won't be disappointed. Looking forward to new neighbors!!!!

This is the best apartment building I have ever lived in. My first year I lived on the 2nd floor facing the Uhaul facility. I renewed my lease and decided to move to the third floor with huge windows and a much better view. The staff is amazing. Suzan always makes you feel at home. Just a sweet sweet lady. All of the others at the front desk are awesome. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Great atmosphere in a quiet neighborhood downtown. Even though these apartments are downtown, security is tight. There is nightly security that walks the resident parking lot and around the block of the building. No one can enter the building without a key fob. The concierge available 24/7 is a HUGE plus!

Just moved downtown nearly 2 years ago (eg early 2019) and love Metropolitan lofts! I’ve lived in Riverside before and looked at other apartments downtown/Brooklyn areas (eg Carling and 11 E), but Metropolitan was the best space for the money. Great modern designs (eg concrete floors, exposed pipes/ducts, high ceilings, etc). They have also 24 concierge, who are always friendly and very helpful. The building has a few IT companies on some of the floors, so security is pretty tight (eg key card access to get into the building and to each floor) and internet speed is good (ie works well enough to handle working from home), and it’s included in rent. 😃 Lots of little restaurants and bars within a mile, Jags stadium is less than 2 miles, and just a few miles to Riverside/Five Points. Check it out! P.S. no pets allowed, which I like, but it could be a deal breaker for some.

I have lived at the Metropolitan Lofts for about 6 months now, always such a delight. The leasing staff are just wonderful and will always go above and beyond. The concierge staff always puts a smile on my face when coming home. I would definitely recommend this property, it is in such a great location in downtown, always something to do. Units are decorated beautifully with a very modern/industrial look to it with exposed ceilings and concert flooring. Friendly residents and staff. 5 stars for me!

I recently moved out of the Metro after living there for over 3 years. It was a great place to live and I would recommend it to anyone. The rooms are very urban, with exposed air ducts and concrete floors. You will never hear your neighbors when you're inside a room due to the concrete, which is very nice. The ceilings are high a lot of the walls don't fully extend up, which makes the rooms feel large and spacious. The concierge was one of the best perks at the Metro, they are all very helpful and nice (especially Susanne), and will bend over backwards to make sure you are taken care of if you ever need anything. They work 8a-11p Sunday-Thursday, and 8a-3a Friday/Saturday. At least that's what it was when I left. There were a few changes in ownership/management but the group that was there when I left was great. Considering I was moving out, they were very accommodating to make sure my move went as smoothly as possible. They appear to be working on a fitness center, which was in talks for a long time, but from what it looked like, there was construction for a new fitness center that had begun. When I first moved there in 2012, there wasn't much around the area. Now, there are some restaurants and bars within walking distance (Candy Apple Cafe, Volstead, Dos Gatos, Super Food, Burrito Gallery, and more), and more within less than 5 minutes of driving. Parking downtown at night is also extremely easy as the meters are free and there are a bunch. In 3 years, there were only 2 issues I experienced (building A/C went out), and they were fixed very quickly. Other than that I did not have a single issue, I was very surprised as I always had things breaking in my previous 3 apartments. You can spend money for a parking space in the basement garage, or you can park for free in their secure lot. I actually ended up 90% of the time parking out front at the free meters (the city will ticket 8-5 M-F though). I've seen a bunch of apartments in Jax and I think these are some of the best. I'd recommend these over any other units in downtown.
